As we head into the final month of 2025, here in Newcastle, Ontario, we at Shack In The Back Designs are bubbling with excitement and gratitude. Simply put: 2025 was our best year ever!
It was a year defined by packed event calendars, buzzing 3D printers, and mountains of beautiful yarn transformed into finished creations. We want to take a moment to thank you, our incredible community, for making 2025 our most successful and creative year to date.

1. Road Trip Royalty: Our Event Season 🚚
If you saw us, chances are you were at one of the many fantastic craft fairs, markets, and vendor events we attended this year! From school markets to street festivals to fairgrounds and everything in between, being able to meet so many of you face-to-face, chat about your ideas, and see the joy when you picked out the perfect handmade item was the absolute best part of 2025. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth! We loved travelling across the region and connecting with the community.
2. The Crochet Companion Revolution 🧶
The demand for our finished, handmade crochet creations reached new heights! From our classic soft animals to exciting new critters, the yarn needles were working overtime. Thank you for embracing the warmth, texture, and personalized nature of these pieces. We were thrilled to see our little companions find new homes and bring joy far and wide.

Our 3D printers were humming constantly as we launched some of our most exciting and detailed designs yet. This year saw a major focus on:
