About Us

Shack in the back was started in 2023 by best friends Jacob Campbell and Ashley White. We love creating the items we sell, and seeing the smiles and joy that our creations bring to people of all ages whether you are 8 or 88.

Ashley oversees our stuffed creature care. She carefully chooses colours and yarn to bring these lovable stuffies to life.

Jacob is the operator of the factory which is now hiring Oompa Loompas. Jacob enjoys 3D printing gizmos and gadgets and creating one of a kind laser engraving signs, cutting boards and tumblers.

We call Newcastle Ontario home, but love traveling to shows/markets in other communities. So if you see us in your town stop in and hello, we would love to meet you!
